2023 SUMMER UPDATE

Guest speaker series, Community Projects, & Greenland Workshop

The ARCYF speaker series is in fullswing with webinars on a variety oftopics including:

  • Green Technology 
  • Natural Resource Development
  • Whole Health 
  • Resilient Arctic Economies

Upcoming webinars will addressresponsible resource developmentand Arctic resiliency. 

As a major element of the ARCYF, the fellows are developing community projects aimed atmaking Arctic communities more resilient in seizing opportunities and adapting to change. 

Subject matter experts featured in the speaker series include representatives from UArctic, the governments of Nunavut and Northwest Territories, the University of Greenland, Polar Knowledge, Inuit Circumpolar Council, Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association, Arctic Mayors Forum, Voice of the Arctic, the Alaska Department of Commerce and Economic Development, US Fish and Wildlife, and the Parliament of Greenland, with more to come. Thanks to all who have shared their time and expertise!

Countdown to the Greenland Workshop begins! 

In August, Fellows from Canada and Alaska willtravel to meet their Greenlandic cohorts.Continuing their full exploration of Arctic policiesand cultures, the fellows will visit local leaders inNuuk and Sisimiut for rural and urban learningexperiences.
